1 Peter 1:13
13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
If you’re anything like me, then you know how easy it is to get distracted when you set your mind to something significant. One minute I’m pursuing a real goal, the next I’m checking box scores on my phone, or reading a book, or playing a video game. It’s easy to lose sight of what’s important.
As followers of Jesus, He is our goal. We get to pursue a relationship with him through prayer, reading the Bible, praising Him, and telling our friends and family about Him. When you get distracted, don’t give up! Set your mind back on Jesus. It’s not wrong to have interests and passions, but don’t let those take away from all the goodness and grace you will encounter in your relationship with Jesus.
Prayer Prompt: Lord, please help me to set my hope on You today.
