Zephaniah 3:17
17 The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
When was the last time you were so excited or glad that you began to sing? You simply could not hold it in and erupted in song. Chances are that it hasn’t happened to you in quite a long time, maybe not even since you were a child making up a song about your love of cookies at the dinner table!
The truth is that while we sometimes have a difficult time expressing our joy, we have a God who has no problem doing so. God rejoices over us with gladness and exults over us with loud singing! A child might sing with joy for cookies or a new puppy but God sings in heaven out of His love for us.
Prayer Prompt: Lord, thank you for loving me enough to sing about it.
