John 16:33
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
When I turned 30 my wife gave me a gift of a sky diving package in Moab. Bless her heart I had always told her that I wanted to go skydiving but truthfully I had no intention to ever actually do it. But here I was holding this thoughtful gift and I was terrified!
When the day came, the safety talks and videos didn’t help reduce my anxiety. Only one thing finally helped me through the jump. The old man that was going to jump tandem with me told me he would be with me every step and, more importantly, that he had already done this hundreds of times. Jesus has gone through all the tribulation we will ever face and defeated it! He can take away your fear.
Prayer prompt: God thank you for being my peace when my world feels like I'm free falling. Thank you for Jesus and his victory over all my fears and doubts.
