O Lord, you have mercy on all.
Take away my sins,
and mercifully kindle in me
the fire of your Holy Spirit.

Happy New Year! In 2021, we are going to occasionally explore some of the prayers of our brothers and sisters throughout Church history. Take a moment to read this prayer from Ambrose, the man who lead Augustine to Christ, from the fourth century. Is it not amazing to see the same Gospel that we preach and believe prayed so clearly by the church thousands of years ago and hundreds of years after Christ?
As Christ said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” As you look back on 2020, look back even further. Trust God to keep His word and bring the Gospel around the world!
